[Ideas] Thanksgiving - Grateful Vibes
What have you done for Thanksgiving? Have you taken this time to express your gratitude to someone who has been helpful and kind to you, yet you haven’t had an opportunity to do it?
What have you done for Thanksgiving? Have you taken this time to express your gratitude to someone who has been helpful and kind to you, yet you haven’t had an opportunity to do it? Also the time for you to take your own review for those things you have in this life, a place to stay, a job to work, a bike to ride…
Why do we need to express gratitude?
Gratitude is a feeling of being thankful for the people and things in our life. Some studies showed that expressing gratitude to others can have a significant effect on well-being. It could help to eliminate depressive symptoms as long as you engage in expressing your gratitude. The more expression of gratitude the more positive emotions to those receiving and even giving thanks.
One of my favorite quotes is “Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts.” said by Henri Frederic Amiel (a Swiss moral philosopher in the 19th century).
How to practice gratitude?
Gratitude can have a lasting positive impact if we work towards incorporating it into our daily lives. Here are some ideas or ways of expressing our thanks to others:
A gratitude tree can be a good idea for the upcoming Christmas and New Year in the workplace that create opportunities for employees to express their gratitude to their colleagues. By describing special things on the cards how their behaviors have affected to people’s life, then let hang it on the tree where people can find and read it by themselves.
A gratitude letter can be another option for corporate culture building where some channels or tool are available for employees to assess and post it to someone who made them grateful.
A gratitude journal can be a simple thing for an individual to do it by self on weekly basis to write down the things has had a positive influence on your daily life or name out three good things that you has noticed.
Saying thank to a person that helps you or to a small thing you see or smell or listen that makes good vibe.
… and what will you do to show your gratitude?
