Omamori that brings happiness to each person
Someone mentioned, “Blessing is not something you seek; but something you create.” The concept of a blessing bag that came to mind during a conversation with a young client...
This concept originated during a conversation with a young client at the beginning of the year and I would love to share more about this here.
What does Omamori mean?
Omamori is a Japanese amulet or good luck charm that protects against evil. In this article, Omamori is like a borrowed word to describe a blessing bag.
When you hear the word ‘blessing bag,’ what do you imagine? Do you picture a fancy bag with cool designs that hold magical powers? When you open it, a beautiful light shines around you, filling you with warmth and happiness. It’s like being enveloped in a gentle stream of blessed light, and it’s just so pleasant!
The blessing bag here has symbols and invisible energy, or beautiful, warm light, that represents moments of joy, happiness, and success. It symbolizes happy days, when you achieve your goals, like the first date, marriage proposal, or marriage. You collect these moments and write them down, then store them in a tangible bag.
The question is why
The body’s defense mechanism enables us to swiftly identify and respond to perceived threats. Anaphylactic behaviors, such as panic, shock, horror, standing still, or fleeing, are readily apparent. However, our body also unconsciously generates anaphylactic vibrations to safeguard our existence, which may be challenging to recognize initially but gradually become apparent. This phenomenon reflects the realization that our sense of self has shifted, from a happy, dynamic, optimistic, and positive individual to one that struggles to accept diverse perspectives. It signifies a change in our values and beliefs.
This defense mechanism is exclusively activated in response to a perceived threat, encompassing both physical and mental safety. Consequently, the negative effects can easily induce a state of defensiveness, leading to the development of prejudiced beliefs such as “happiness is ephemeral, no one cares or loves me, my life is plagued by misfortune, I am impoverished, so I am reluctant to make any efforts, or regardless of my actions, no one acknowledges my contributions.” These beliefs can also manifest in excessive arrogance, with individuals perceiving everything as unworthy of their attention.
And when you’re feeling down, this blessing bag will be your lifeline. Take a peek inside and remember all the amazing moments, achievements, and recognitions you’ve had, no matter how small they may seem. They’re all the happiness you’ve experienced before.
Life is full of choices, and how you choose to see it can make a big difference. Imagine life as a glass of water, either full or half full. If you focus only on the half, you miss out on the fullness. Just like a black dot on a white paper, if you ignore the white paper, you’re stuck in the black dot.
So, here’s what you can do: start creating your own blessing bag. It’s a way to fill your life with positivity and peace, even when you’re feeling down. Whenever you’re feeling sad, open your blessing bag and take a deep breath. Remember all the happy things that have happened to you, and let them fill you with joy. Then, make the right choices for yourself and move forward with confidence.
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
1. **Journaling:** Write down all the positive things in your life and store them in a special bag.
2. **Recording:** Record your blessings in a folder named “Blessing Bag.”
I hope these suggestions help you build resilience and stay strong in the face of life’s challenges. Remember, you’ve got this!
